About

If you haven’t already figured out, my name is Dan, and I LOVE to travel. My wife Stephanie and I enjoy traveling whenever we get the chance.

My Wife Stephanie and Me

My Wife Stephanie and Me

Any chance we can get out of the cold Connecticut climate, we certainly take advantage of it!

People mistakenly look at us, and think “you must be rich!” That statement could not be further from the truth. We fully maximize all the available opportunities to do amazing trips at affordable prices. And by affordable, I mean CHEAP, SOMETIMES REAL CHEAP.

I wanted to design this site as a way to not only keep you updated on all our travels, but to also show you how we are able to travel so frugally.

We not only love to travel, but I love to help others do so as well. We frequently help others to find deals to be able to do anything from elaborate trips to other parts of the world, to getting away for a long weekend.

As I noted above, we are from Connecticut. All the way in the Northwest Part. SO FAR away from major civilization or excitement. When people ask if we live by Hartford, Bridgeport, Greenwich, New Haven, THE ANSWER IS NO! They are all over an hour away! That is how far we are from everything. Hence the reason we like to travel….. SMILE.

I grew up on the Jersey Shore (YES THAT JERSEY SHORE) and Long Island, NY before meeting Stephanie and moving up to Connecticut. Stephanie has lived in this area her whole life.

Growing up our ideas of vacations were quite different from each other. Although we did have one thing in common, both our families LOVE Disney World. And that has not changed, in fact, our love for all things Disney has grown.

Besides Disney, our trips were a lot different! My family enjoyed doing camping trips in Upstate NY, Stephanie’s idea of roughing it was staying at the Courtyard Marriott. Sooooo…. there was a little bit of a difference in our upbringing.

Those main philosophies when traveling for us have generally stayed true to our upbringing. Stephanie likes the luxury part of travel, while I am all about doing more with less. She calls me “cheap.” I call her “expensive.” So we constantly try to find the middle ground of doing really nice things at really nice places without going broke.

What else is there to know about us?

The way we are able to fund our travels, and have the freedom to do it is because of our flexible business. We run and operate a cleaning business up here in Connecticut. We do house cleaning, office cleaning, carpet cleaning and window washing. We work primarily April – October. The rest of the year can be quite slow. We utilize this opportunity to try to go to new warm places!

Stephanie and me both traveled when we were single before getting married. So there is a little bit of a difference of where we have been.

Since we’ve been married 3 years ago we’ve been to SEVERAL spots! But this is only the start! I will post trip reviews for all our upcoming trips, and restaurant reviews.

Thank you for taking the time to read about us and our travels. Hopefully we can be of assistance to you, and help you travel more!
