Why I Can Travel SO MUCH!

The biggest question I get on almost a daily basis is “How do you guys travel so much?” Everyone wrongly assumes that we must make a ton of money! But actually, that couldn’t be further from the truth!

There are many reasons why we travel so cheap, the majority of it is careful planning and due diligence. With that being said, the reason we travel for almost free is because of frequent flier programs! Many people don’t fully understand this, and wrongly presume it as overly complicated. Which actually can be true, but the reward is SO much greater then the complexity.

Sooo…. How exactly does it work?

If you ever booked a flight or a hotel, there is generally a place to insert your ‘Frequent Flier Number’ or something along those lines. There is usually a spot where you can register and get your own personal number or account. Once you do that, you can then insert number that into the spot where it asks, and BOOM you now have your own frequent flier number for that particular airline or hotel. plane-92324_640

So now after your flight is over, or your hotel stay is over you will accrue a certain amount of points. Once your points account grows you can redeem those points for free stays or free flights. Obviously every airline and every hotel the amount of points needed varies.

So after building your points accounts you eventually get free stays or free flights. That can be a long and tedious process. Because generally the amount of points you get per stay or per flight is VERY small in comparison with the amount that you need to book something for free. Depending on whether you are a regular business traveler, or more of a once a year traveler it can take a REALLY LONG TIME to get anything for free just doing this.

While you should still use this method, the single best method of accruing the most amount of points for practically free travel is travel credit cards!

I know your probably saying “NO, NOT CREDIT CARDS!” While credit cards often get a bad rep from undisciplined creditors. The truth of the matter is that if you are a responsible credit card holder with good credit (above 700) who pays your entire balance off each month, then you can easily accrue thousands and thousands of dollars of free travel a year!

How, you ask?

Two main ways…… Your monthly credit card spend and sign up bonuses.

I will go into more details of these two categories in future posts, and how exactly doing these two things can benefit you.

Many people worry about their credit, and hurting or affecting their credit. Once again, if you are a responsible payer and you have good credit, and you can pay off your balance in full each month then you are have nothing to worry about! In fact, my credit has risen significantly since applying these methods.

Now its just about learning the secrets to applying these things into your every day life to benefit from. And that is where my blog will help you.

I will describe everything in the simplest, easiest to understand way for all the newbies to fully grasp and comprehend.
