The Quest for the Best Burger

Being quite the food junkie, and living in this country, the two things that we like are our pizza and our burgers. Throughout my travels I am constantly looking for the best pizza and the best burger. This post is going to focus on finding the best burgers wherever I go.

I will focus another article on ‘My Quest for the Best Pizza.’ I invite all your suggests in the comment box at the bottom. Every time along my travels, I will continue to monitor and look for new places to try and review, and update these original posts.

What comes to your mind when your hear the words “the best burger?”

So what is it about burgers that we love so much?

Is it the juiciness of a real quality cut of beef? Is it the amazing toppings or homemade sauces they put on top of the burger? Is it the amazing homemade bread they use? I am not quite sure exactly the formula, and I think it greatly varies depending on the burger…. But one thing I do know is a good burger is quite amazing.

Being from the northeast and living in amongst some really big cities, and being by some of the best restaurants in the world, I consider myself quite fortunate  We really have a lot of really, really amazing places to choose from. I haven’t even touched the surface of all the places locally I can go. So I am always open to suggestions, and tips if anyone knows something I should try.

The other thing about burgers is there is a difference between a gourmet burger, and a fast food (lack of a better word) burger. I am not saying one is better then the other. They are both serve a completely different purpose. And by fast food, I am not talking about a McDonald’s or Burger King Burger…..PLEASE.

What I simply mean is some really, really popular burger places are quick serve places that you simply grab your burger and go. Whether that is to a local picnic bench, or even bring it home with you. Usually the price of a place like this is cheaper and stays between $5 and $10.

Gourmet places are typically fine dining restaurants where you get probably a higher quality cut of meat, but you pay for it and the service that comes with it. Usually places like this will charge anywhere from $10 – $20 for a burger. So let’s use this criteria when talking about the best burgers.

Now that we know that there is a difference between the two, when I mention that one place is more of a quick service, fast food place you know what I mean 🙂

So as I continue to post more and more reviews here continue to use this a reference. I will post my reviews on this page so that you can access them and find them.

And if you know of any really, really awesome burger places in NYC, Boston, or somewhere in Connecticut that I should try ASAP let me know too. Because at least those places are very reachable for me right now.

I invite you to please comment below and inform me of places where I should go!
